How do you use Exceed 2020?

Exceed2020 works by hosting the NPAPI module and emulating the functions of the browser.
For more information on NPAPI go to the NPAPI page here
Part 1 Basic Use
<1-2-3>
Sections: 1:Locating 2:Loading 3:External Servers 4:Uploading 5:User Account Control 6:External programs

Section 1
locate the URL of the file you want to view,
Some content will have additional parameters after the file extension such as "../File.swf?=Example" this is often essential to load the content remember to retain these parameters when archiving content.

Section 2
Ensure settings are correct and inspect configuration files for any abnormalities,
This is in Beta so it is advisable to inspect troubleshoot before each use.
You load a URL by placing it into Exceed 2020 as you would on any browser and click "Load"
Files may be loaded Live from the internet, From Cache or from a User specified location using the "Junctions" manager.
Example used can be found here

Section 3
In this example we have loaded an interactive Flash application that utilities server side processing of content,
to distinguish between permanent files used by Flash and new files created ad hoc via the server we will define terms.

Static Content:
These can all be downloaded, stored and run live online or archived to be run offline.
Active Content
Content generated based on user input,
A server client response must be detected by Flash within the NPAPI container for this to complete
For example with text to speech text will be sent to the server and the client will wait until either a response or timeout.
The response will include the location of the file requested or an error message.

It is recommended you collect samples of these when archiving to use as reference material when attempting to emulate this externally.

Section 4
In some flash websites it is possible to upload files to the server

Files will be proceed externally and a URL will be returned once this has been completed.

Once files have been processed they will be loaded into the application

Section 5
At first glance Exceed 2020 may appear to need administrative rights on Windows versions with User account control,
This is not true however Exceed 2020 must have assess to its own configuration files to operate correctly.
Sometimes configuration files are designated as belonging to the Administrator or System thus UAC will make these files read only thus denying write permissions.
This is not a bug with Exceed 2020 but may be a bug with the installation wizard other programs such as Notepad will have the same problem unless run as administrator.

To correct this configure the files properties to ensure all users are permitted to Read/Write and modify the configuration files of Exceed 2020.

Section 6
Exceed 2020 stores its settings in INI and TXT files for debugging and to enable these to be populated with parameters,
This is useful for prototyping and enables browser extensions to transfer data from means of embedding plugins such as Object/Applet tags and launch the content in Exceed 2020 whilst retaining the instructions used in the HTML from as size and scale to external parameters.
